Summer Mission Trip 2017
Every summer, StMUCC organises a Mission Trip to Egypt to teach English in some of the poorest areas. English is a very valuable skill for youth in Egypt, particularly given the country’s large tourism industry, therefore we aim to enhance their understanding of English grammar, add to their vocabulary, and improve their pronunciation.
StMUCC volunteers spend two weeks teaching children between the ages of 12 and 16. Our volunteers have written an English booklet derived from the English syllabus of Egypt, thus providing these children with support that is complementary to what they learn at school. At the end of the two weeks, we hold a graduation ceremony for the children with prizes and certificates.
This year’s Summer Mission Trip will be our third, following on from our success in the past two years. We will teach in two cities in Egypt: Quos and King Mariut. The trip will run from Sunday 30th July to Sunday 13th August. If you’d like to join us, please fill out the form below.
If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note that you must be at least 16 years old to apply and if accepted onto the trip, you must pay a £100 deposit which will be returned after the trip.
